Nursery Manager

We are looking for a full time Nursery Manager to run the day-to-day running of a busy, fun and vibrant nursery.

As the Nursery Manager your role will be responsible for the nursery team to ensure the nursery carries on to deliver high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children. As the Nursery Manager some of the duties will include: promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.

We require an experienced Nursery Manager to run this day nursery. You will work very closely with the Nursery we are looking for a strong manager who will take ownership and ensure best practices are followed.

You will be a problem solver and able to critically review daily issues and find ways to address them.

You will be personable and look to create a fun place to work.

You will be responsible for day to day management of this day nursery including;

  • To be the 'lead' professional, acting as a role model and setting expectations
  • To ensure smooth daily running of the nursery including staff rotas, managing booking patterns and ratios etc.
  • Recruitment and training of staff.
  • To ensure good parental relationships, by meeting and greeting at least three times a week at the beginning or end of the day.
  • To manage enquiries and perform nursery show rounds.
  • To perform invoicing tasks and financial management of the nursery, paying bills, receiving payment and providing wage information to our payroll provider.
  • To promote the nursery, aiming at full occupancy.
  • Produce monthly newsletters and updates for the website.

You need:

NNEB or Level 3 in Childcare or Degree in Early Years

  • Minimum of 3 years Nursery management experience in a private day nursery
  • A working knowledge of relevant Health & safety and Basic Food Hygiene requirements.
  • A STRONG understanding of the EYFS and experience with Ofsted inspections
  • Management experience in a private day nursery
  • Full budget responsibility experience
